A message from the Presidents…

We want to welcome you to join us at the Southern/Midwest Section meeting to be held May 7-10, 2017 at the Renaissance Nashville Hotel in downtown Nashville, TN. We look forward to giving everyone the opportunity for Making Your Own Music in Research Administration!

Nashville (Music City), TN Nashville has also long been known as the “Songwriting Capital of the World.” Songwriters from all over the world come to Music City to learn the art and share their passion of songwriting. Nashville has become a hub for country, pop, rock, bluegrass, Americana, jazz, classical, contemporary Christian, blues and soul music! 

We are very excited to announce that our Keynote Speaker is Erin Koshut, Director of Cummings Research Park (CRP) in Huntsville, AL. As Director, Erin is leading a comprehensive master planning effort to ensure another 50 successful years for CRP.  CRP is the second largest research park in the US and the fourth largest in the world!

We have planned an outstanding program for you. We will offer three certificates in full: Clinical Trails Research Administration (CTRA) 101; Practice of Research Administration and Management (PRAM); and Pre-Award.

Workshops and concurrent sessions will be offered in six (6) tracks, including Professional Development (PD); Sponsored Programs Planning, Development and Deliveries (SP); Management and Operations (MO); Sponsors and Agencies (SA); Research Ethics and Compliance (RE); and Clinical Research (CR).

We have an amazing opening reception planned on Monday night at the City Winery in Nashville. We hope you will join us for food, drinks, wine sampling and live entertainment!

We hope you will join us in making this an amazing and informative meeting by responding to our call for proposals. We rely on members to contribute their knowledge as presenters and volunteers. This meeting will be the perfect opportunity to network with your fellow Research Administrators and to come visit an amazing city!
