Membership in SRA International demonstrates to peers and employers an exceptional level of commitment to excellence in research administration. Full members receive a membership certificate and enjoy many special benefits and services designed especially for them, including:

• Access to exceptional, year-round educational and professional development opportunities that focus on a plethora of interest areas, some of which lead to certificate programs or prepare you for certification through the Research Administrators Certification Council.
• Numerous opportunities for peer consultation and networking through local, regional and national meetings and SRA's Mentorship Program.
• Access to SRA's online Career Centers which lists professional opportunities worldwide.
• Access to Networking Nirvana and the Body of Knowledge, a topical index to information, articles, resources and links essential to successful research management on all levels.
• Subscription to SRA's premiere journal, The Journal of Research Administration.
• Subscription to SRA eConnections, the leading source of information about SRA and the latest news in the field of research administration.

Affiliate Member Benefits

• Unlike full members, affiliate members do not receive a subscription to the Journal of Research Administration nor do they have access to Networking Nirvana, the Body of Knowledge or the online membership directory. They are also ineligible to hold an elected office within SRA, and they cannot vote or nominate someone to an elected position. Affiliate level membership is required to attend a chapter meeting; however, full membership is required to attend a section meeting or the international annual meeting. Affiliate members are also ineligible to receive a certificate of completion for SRA certificate programs. Individuals may only be an Affiliate member for two years.  Affiliate members do receive the following benefits:
  • Email notifications of all upcoming SRA events and activities.
  • Registration for chapter meetings at the member rate.
  • Subscription to SRA eConnections, the leading source of information about SRA and the latest news in the field of research administration.
  • Ability to upgrade to full membership at a discounted rate.
