Intensive Training Programs - in February, May and July
A series of programs designed for the next level in Research Administration and Management. These programs are not meant to be an overview of research administration; instead they provide an opportunity for the midlevel research administrator to concentrate on specific areas that support professional growth. Decide among Research Leadership Intensive; Post-award Administration; Research Administration in Healthcare Systems and Hospitals; Contracts and Subagreements; Change Leadership: The Path to Collaboration. A Skills-based Program for Research Administrators; Metrics Intensive Training; Strategies and Best Practices for Successful Proposal Development; Intersection of Research Integrity and Compliance in Research Management; and Train the Trainer Program.
Basics of Research Administration - in February and July
The effective purpose of this conference is to provide participants with a broad overview of the various aspects involved in research administration. The 2.5-day intensive course will discuss different areas of research administration: finding funding, pre-award, award acceptance, compliance and post-award.
Departmental Administration - in May
The effective way to strategically manage a research organization is to empower the people on the front line. Department Research Administrators are the key to building a successful research structure and need to develop the resources and find the training to accomplish their tasks. This workshop will center on pre-award research administration, financial management of sponsored awards and building a working relationship with central administration.
