Speaker Travel Scholarship

The Education and Professional Development Committee (EPDC) is now accepting applications for the SRA International Speaker Travel Scholarship!

The SRA International Speaker Travel Scholarship provides funding for an SRA International member with senior level experience and an established career (5 or more years in the field of research administration), who has been selected to speak or present at a partner society to SRAI (see complete list of Partner Societies). A maximum of two awards per year of up to $2,500 each will be awarded.

What does the Scholarship Provide?
The SRA International Speaker Travel Scholarship provides a 1:1 match of up to $2,500. The funds may be applied to all travel expenses.  The awardee will make all travel arrangements and funding will be provided when all requirements have been met (see below).

Am I eligible for the SRA International Speaker Travel Scholarship?
To be eligible, you must be a current full member of SRA International with five (5) or more years in the field of research administration and have been invited to speak or present at one of SRAI’s sister organization conferences. You may not receive this scholarship more than once within five years.

What are the Scholarship Requirements?

  • The awardee must acknowledge the award in their presentation or during their speech and use an SRAI provided PowerPoint presentation template.
  • The awardee must also share their experience in the SRAI Catalyst upon return, summarizing their presentation, experience, and the fact that they received this award from SRAI to support the presentation.
  • Provide a copy of presentation within 30 days of return.

What are the Deadlines for Submission?
January 30 and June 30

The EPDC will notify you of acceptance.
